Individual Counselling

My Counselling Approach

In terms of theoretical orientation I am qualified in person-centered counselling: working together, I support and empower you to find out what it is you need.

One of the principle aims of the counselling that I offer is to create a safe and permissive space where you will not feel shamed or judged for sharing whatever is on your mind.

In nature, seeds only grow when the conditions are right and in counselling the absence of threat contributes to creating a condition of safety which is conducive to the growth of the human psyche.

I will respect your right to share as little or as much as your feel comfortable with, so that together we can work out what you might be looking for from counselling, what you might need and what the best way forward for you might be. I will not ‘make you’ do anything or put any pressure or demands upon you but will support you, and sometimes challenge you, to identify what it is that you need.

Individual Counselling sessions are 50 minutes long.

Face to Face and Online Counselling

Counselling sessions are either face to face, online, or a mixture of the two: please call or email and we can work out a best way forward for you. For local clients – the counselling shed is located between Canterbury and Faversham in Kent and if anyone is worried about whether they will be seen, or bump into colleagues, family or friends, the counselling shed is located in a discrete and private location.

Appointments are offered daytime or evening subject to availability.

Counselling Fees

My fees are as follows:

Individuals: £55 per session.

If required, I have a limited number of discounted rate slots for students of counselling and full-time students.
